This recipe has been tempting me for so long! And finally I just could't help it ;) The truth is that I fell in love with these apple's looks only when I saw them in the park scene in the film "Enchanted' :) Well, you know, it's just the way I am :D
Składniki:/Ingredients:
- jabłka (kolor, smak, twardość wg upodobania)/apples
- drewniane patyczki do lodów/ wooden sticks (like in popsicles)
- 300 g cukru/ 300 g of sugar
- odrobina czerwonego barwnika spożywczego (ja użyłam tego w żelu)/ a little bit of red food colouring
- 100 ml wody/ 100 ml of water
Wash the apples and wiped them. Remove the stalks and place wooden sticks in the centre of the apples. In the saucepan place sugar. Combine water and food colouring and then add to the sugar. Boil until sugar has dissolved. Tip: use candy thermometer because the mixture should reach 310°F. Remember: don't stir the mixture, you can olny shake a little bit the saucepan. If we don't have a candy thermometer, we can use a simple technique: take a little bit of caramel onto a teaspoon and watch if it leaves these hard, thin threads after stretching it=>it means our caramel is ok. Now quickly, cover the apples in caramel. Place the apples on tinfoil and wait until they cooled down. And that's the end! :)
To jeszcze nie to, czego się spodziewałam po jabłkach w karmelu, ale jak na pierwsze podejście to ujdzie ;)
Maybe, these are not the 'perfect' apples for me, but for the first time, I can say that they're pretty nice ;)
xoxo,
Aga
